Severn Together: Communities in Action / Hafren Gyda'n Gilydd: Cymunedau'n Gweithredu

Communities across Wales and Shropshire are joining a six-day canoe journey down the River Severn, from Llanidloes to Bridgnorth, from 1 - 6 September 2026. Organised by Severn Together: Communities in Action, the campaign brings together residents, businesses, farmers and community groups to highlight the growing risks of flooding and drought and call for urgent Government backing of the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme (SVWMS). The message is simple: the plan exists, but it needs to be funded and delivered in full as an integrated, long-term solution for water resilience. Along the route, the campaign will meet communities, gather local experiences and build support for a more resilient future for the River Severn.
