Poetry Cafe with Thirza Clout, Rachel Spence and an Open Mic

Join us for an afternoon of poetry, community, and conversation at Hafan Yr Afon, right by the river in Newtown. We’re delighted to welcome two exceptional guest poets – Thirza Clout and Rachel Spence – who will each be reading from their newly published collections: Percy and Grace and Daughter of the Sun.

After their readings, there’ll be time to mingle, chat, and grab a drink before we open the floor to voices from the community. The Open Mic is your chance to share a short poem – either one of your own or a favourite piece by someone else. Sign-up on the day, and we’ll fit in as many readers as time allows.
