Alive With Wings – Live at Hafan Yr Afon

A new collaborative project bringing together four highly distinctive voices, Alive With Wings blends folk, jazz, and experimental sound into something immersive and quietly powerful.

Singer-songwriter, artist and nature writer Jo Jukes has been working closely with drummer and percussionist Rick Wilson for the past four years, releasing three albums together and currently developing their fourth, Nest Material.

For this new project, they are joined by saxophonist Niall Ross and bassist Richard Yale, forming a rich and exploratory ensemble.

Expect world-influenced rhythms, expressive sax lines, and textured bass, alongside an eclectic mix of instruments including sticks, slates, pots, zithers, shells, handpan and guitar. The music is guided by poetic lyrics inspired by the natural world, creating a sound that feels both rooted and exploratory.
